Overview

This standard applies to portable single and multi-section ladders for specific professional use in harvesting, inspection, and maintenance work on trees, especially fruit trees, on natural ground. DIN EN 131-1 applies to portable ladders for general use. Amendment A1 clarifies that the standard is not only applicable to gardening and landscaping. The introduction and subclause 6.3.3 have been amended accordingly. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 042-04-20 AA "Spiegelausschuss zu CEN/TC 93 Leitern" ("Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 93 Ladders") at DIN Standards Committee Timber and Furniture (NHM).
