This document has been prepared by the Fasteners Standards Committee (FMV), Working Committee NA 067-00-09 AA "Verbindungselemente ohne Gewinde" ("Fasteners without thread"). This standard specifies requirements for retaining rings for bores and the corresponding grooves. Retaining rings are intended to fix components (for example, rolling bearings) in bores and are suitable to transfer axial forces.
