This standard specifies requirements for square head bolts with collar and short dog point with rounded end, of product grade A with metric coarse threads from M8 to M24. Where, for special purposes, the bolts are to meet requirements differing from those specified in the present standard, for example with respect to nominal length or property class, the bolts shall be in compliance with the specifications of the relevant standards. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 067-00-02 AA "Verbindungselemente mit metrischem Außengewinde" ("Fasteners with metric external threads") at DIN Standards Committee Fasteners (FMV).
