This standard specifies a method for the determination of the boiling stability of wet blue in the dewatered condition. The determined length shrinkage serves as quality control of the chrome tanning. Along the lines of this standard, a test after removal directly from the tanning drum is also possible as process control. The values determined during this process are not directly comparable with those from the dewatered samples.
