Overview

This document specifies a procedure for sampling ceramic raw materials during loading and unloading of flowing goods and from packaging, transport and storage units with the aim of obtaining information on the mean values of the property characteristics of a delivery. The specified procedure applies to ceramic raw materials, for example clays, kaolins, feldspar, but also to glazes, engobes and the raw materials required for these. The document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-02-57 AA "Ungeformte, dichte geformte und wärmedämmende feuerfeste Erzeugnisse und Werkstoffe" ("Unshaped, dense shaped and insulating refractory products and materials") at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP).
