In addition to the dimensions for hammer head, eye and handle lengths for different nominal sizes and weight classes, the DIN standard specifies details regarding the material and design of the hammer head and handle, and for the standard designation and marking of these impact tools. This German standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 121-05-12 AA "Schlagwerkzeuge" ("Impact tools") at DIN Standards Committee Tools and Clamping Devices (FWS).
