Overview
This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-06-61 AA "Prüfung von Schmierölen, sonstigen Ölen und Paraffinen" ("Testing of lubricating oils, other oils and Paraffin") of the Standardization Committee for Petroleum, Fuels, Lubricants and Related Products (FAM) at the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP) at DIN. This standard specifies a method for the determination of characteristics (good load and welding load) for lubricants that are liquid at room temperature and contain additives intended to allow high contact pressure in the mixed-friction range between surfaces in relative movement to each other (so called EP lubricants).
