This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-06-14 AA "Chromatographische Analyse" ("Chromatographic analysis") at Technical Section "Mineralöl- und Brennstoffnormung (FAM)" at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP). This document specifies a test method for determining the content of 2-ethylhexyl nitrate (EHN) in diesel fuels, which is added to diesel fuels as an ignition improver. Contents of EHN between 100 mg/kg and 1 500 mg/kg can be measured using this method.
