DIN 51502-7:2026-03

This document specifies the abbreviated designation for all other media in the field of lubricants that are not covered by the main groups 1 through 5 (DIN 51502-2 through DIN 51502-6). The classification of the individual lubricant groups and the basic structure of the abbreviated designation for hydraulic fluids consisting of up to three designation blocks (A, B, C) are specified in DIN 51502-1. This document specifies the labeling of packaging, containers, lubricant reservoirs, lubrication equipment, lubrication points, and the information provided in product data sheets. The general international labeling of lubricants is specified in DIN ISO 6743-99. The specific international labeling of other media is defined in ISO 6743-8, ISO 6743-10 and ISO 6743-12.
