Overview

This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 008-12-02 AA "Prüfung fester Brennstoffe" ("Testing of solid fuels") of the Mining Standards Committee (FABERG). This standard specifies two methods for the determination of the total sulfur content is hard coals, coke, brown coals, lignites, briquettes and charcoal. The combustion method and the dissolution method/Eschka method are addressed for this purpose. On the basis of several inter-laboratory tests performed between 2006 and 2010 by Working Committee NA 008-12-02 AA "Prüfung fester Brennstoffe" ("Testing of solid fuels") of FABERG, the precision data has been revised and adopted to ISO 19579.
