Overview

The standard applies to the determination of the elemental composition of solid fuels such as hard coals, lignites, lignites and coke. The results enable and simplify the comparability of products. In terms of content the standard largely corresponds to International Standard ISO 17247 "Coal - Ultimate analysis". For application in Germany the cited ISO procedures have been replaced by the corresponding DIN procedures. The scope of application has been extended to all solid fuels. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 008-12-02 AA "Prüfung fester Brennstoffe" ("Testing Solid Fuels") at DIN Standards Committee Mining (FABERG).
