This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-06-62 AA "Prüfung von Schmierfetten" ("Testing of lubricating greases") at Technical Section Standardization of Petroleum, Fuels, Lubricants and Related Products (FAM) of DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP). This document specifies a method for determining the flow point of soft to very soft lubricating greases and fluid greases, preferably of NLGI classes 0, 00, 000 according to DIN 51818 or lower consistency. The method described can also be used to examine used greases contaminated with particles.
