This document has been prepared by Working Committees NA 062-06-62 AA "Prüfung von Schmierfetten" ("Testing of lubricating greases") at Technical Section Standardization of Petroleum, Fuels, Lubricants and Related Products (FAM) of Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP). This standard specifies a procedure for the mechanical-dynamic testing of lubricating greases of NLGI classes 1 to 4 in accordance with DIN 51818. The procedure is used to determine the lubricating grease life in the FAG roller bearing grease testing apparatus FE9 under conditions similar to those encountered in practice.
