This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-06-12 AA "Röntgenfluoreszenz-Analyse" ("X- ray fluorescence analysis") at the Petroleum, Fuels, Lubricants and Related Products Standardization Committee (FAM) of the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP) at DIN. The precision data have been determined by statistical evaluation of round robin test results achieved in the working group as part of the preparation of this document. This document specifies a method for the determination of the elements Al, Ba, Bi, Cl, Ca, Cu, Fe, Mg, Mo, Na, P, Pb, S, Si, Sn, Ti and Zn by means of analysis by wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (WDXRF) in fresh and used greases.
