This document has been prepared by Joint Committee NA 062-03-32 GA "Bitumen; Prüfverfahren und Anforderungen für die Bindemittel" ("Bitumen; test methods and specifications of binders") of DIN Standards Committees Materials Testing (NMP) and DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering (NABau). This document lays down a method for determining the ashes of bitumen and bituminous binders. The specimen is annealed in a heating cabinet until its weight is constant and the residue is weighed.
