This standard specifies a laboratory method for testing and evaluating a variable which designates direct airborne transmission only through a small shaft and which can be determined with sufficient accuracy even in small spaces. With respect to DIN 52210-6:1989, in particular the normative references have been updated. The test standard is directed at test institutes. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 062-02-31 AA "Schalldämmung und Schallabsorption, Messung und Bewertung" ("Sound reduction and sound absorption; measurement and evaluation") at DIN.
