DIN 52377:2016-07

This standard specifies a method for determining the modulus of elasticity in tension and of tensile strength of plywood parallel to the surfaces. Most test methods for wood-based panels are available as European Standards. However, the determination of the modulus of elasticity in tension and of tensile strength of plywood has not yet been standardized at European level. Compared to DIN 52377:1978-11, European standards for the determination of dimensions and moisture content as well as for sampling have been taken into account. In addition, European standards for plywood types have been taken into account and the structure has been adapted to current design rules. This standard has been prepared by DIN committee NA 042-02-15 AA "Holzwerkstoffe - Spiegelausschuss zu CEN/TC 112 und ISO/TC 89" ("Wood-based panels - Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 112 and ISO/TC 89") at DIN Standards Committee Timber and Furniture.
