From a physical point of view, slipperiness or roughness is not a precisely defined term. However, in order to obtain numbers on the surface structure of paper, boards and cardboards, various measurement methods have been developed. The Bendtsen tester is one of the so-called "air flow measuring devices". As no generally applicable measure exists for roughness, each applied measurement method, together with the measurement results, shall be indicated.
