This document applies to cement- and calcium sulfate-based floor levelling compounds used for the full-surface production of levelling layers up to a thickness of 10 mm for the installation of floor coverings and to ensure the suitability of the substrate for floor covering installation. The use of floor levelling compounds creates a homogeneous layer on the load-bearing substrate, particularly in terms of absorbency, evenness, and strength. This document describes the relevant properties of floor levelling compounds and/or floor levelling layers and specifies the framework conditions for their application. This document does not apply to dispersion-based and reaction resin-based floor levelling compounds. This document does not apply to screeds in accordance with DIN 18560 (all parts). Special floor levelling compounds that are suitable for this purpose and approved by the manufacturer can also be used outdoors.
