Overview
This document describes the requirements for eddy current testing of heat exchanger tubes made of ferromagnetic materials using internal coaxial probes with DC bias magnetization. The aim of eddy current testing within the meaning of this document is to verify wall thickness reductions originating from the inside or outside of the tube wall, as well as to determine this wall thickness reduction as a percentage of the nominal wall thickness. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-11-13 AA "Elektrische und magnetische Prüfverfahren" "Electromagnetic test methods" at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP).
