This test standard specifies a torsional shear test to determine the shear strength of predominantly anaerobic adhesives and the comparative assessment of their shear resistance, which cannot be determined by other tests, for example tensile shear test according to DIN EN 1465. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-10-02 AA "Prüfung von Konstruktionsklebstoffen, -klebverbindungen und Kernverbunden" ("Testing of structural adhesives, structural adhesive bondings and sandwiches") at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP).
