Overview

This document specifies general requirements for the evaluation of adhesively bonded joints made with structural adhesives using manual or machine-performed peel tests with fabrics. This quasi-static test method enables a qualitative and quantitative assessment of interfacial bonding and cohesive properties of adhesively bonded joints involving metallic and non-metallic adherent materials. It is applicable to film adhesives, paste adhesives, and liquid resins. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-10-02 AA "Prüfung von Konstruktionsklebstoffen, -klebverbindungen und Kernverbunden" ("Testing of structural adhesives, structural adhesive bondings and sandwiches") at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP).
