This document applies to four-way flat pallets (4M) made of polyethylene in accordance with DIN 55423-5, which are used in transport chains for meat and meat products in the food hygiene sector. It specifies requirements and tests with regard to physical properties. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 115-03-07 AA "Paletten" ("Pallets") at DIN Standards Committee Packaging (NAVp). It serves as a basis for ensuring the minimum quality of pallets made of polyethylene that are used in conjunction with transport and storage crates in transport chains for meat and meat products.
