DIN 55531:2011-05

This document applies to composite films with aluminium film intermediate layers (in short, composite aluminium films), particularly as protection against water vapour penetration. This document does not apply to packaging for food stuffs. With respect to the previous document DIN 55531:1988-09, the following modifications have been made: a) normative references have been updated; b) Table 1 "Composition and technical characteristics" has been completely revised; c) clause "Test" has been completely revised; d) clause "Test report" has been added; e) editorially revised. The Working Committee responsible for the revision is NA 115-02-01 AA "Flexible, flächige Packmittel - Folien, Säcke, Beutel, Tragetaschen" ("Flexible, flat means of packaging - films, sacks, bags, carrier bags") of the Packaging Standards Committee (NAVp).
