DIN 55543-2:2011-05

This document specifies a method for determination of peel resistance which glued seams of sacks oppose to forces acting perpendicular to the adhesive line. It is intended for comparative assessment of glues and for monitoring of gluing processes, especially regarding the regularity of the bonding. The following modifications have been made with regard to the previous edition of December 1984: a) main title of the standard series has been changed to "Test methods for packaging films"; b) titles of the parts have been adjusted; c) clause "Normative references" has been incorporated; d) figures have been revised; e) editorial revision. The revision has been carried out by Working Committee NA 115-02-01 AA "Flexible, flächige Packmittel - Folien, Säcke, Beutel, Tragetaschen" ("Flexible, flat means of packaging - Foils, sacks, bags, carrier bags") of the Packaging Standards Committee (NAVp).
