This document specifies the determination of the strength of pasted or welded longitudinal seams for sacks which are made from plastic foil, plastic fabric or laminates. The significant changes with respect to DIN 55543-3:1985-10 include the changing of the title, the updating of the normative references and the revision of the figure. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 115-02-01 AA "Flexible, flächige Packmittel - Folien, Säcke, Beutel, Tragetaschen" ("Flexible, flat means of packaging - Foils, sacks, bags, carrier bags") of the Packaging Standards Committee (NAVp).
