This part of DIN 55660 specifies a dynamic measurement method for the contact angle using an optical method. The advancing and receding angle is determined. This defined measurement method is applicable for the determination of wetting and dewetting characteristics as well as for making conclusions regarding the morpholocial and chemical homogeneity of boundary faces. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 002-00-07-15 AK "Kontaktwinkel/Benetzbarkeit" ("Contact angle/Wettability").
