This standard specifies the characteristics of hexagon head wood screws for thread diameters between 4 mm to 20 mm which are used outside areas requiring approval, such as timber structures for load-bearing purposes.
With respect to the previous edition of this standard, the contents of the scope have been clarified. Furthermore, stainless steel has been added and the mass data limited to steel have been deleted. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 067-00-05 AA "Kleinschrauben und gewindeformende Schrauben" ("Miniature screws and thread forming screws") of FMV.
