Overview

On their way to school children are exposed to many dangers. They can be easily overlooked and thus an increased hazard potential exists for them. DIN 58124 "Satchels" specifies basic safety requirements in order to reduce the danger of an accident for school children. This standard addresses primarily the manufacturers and testing laboratories. It applies to satchels, which are used by pupils for transport and keeping school supplies. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 095-05-04 "Schulranzen" ("Satchels") at NASG.
