The standard series DIN 58141 specifies test methods for fibre optic elements. This standard is applicable for testing optical fibres, up to a fibre core diameter of 200 micrometers. The purpose of this standard is the determination of mechanical bending radius for short-term applications of optical fibres. The standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 027-01-16 AA "Faseroptik" ("Fibre optics") of NAFuO.
