This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 067-00-08 AA "Verbindungselemente mit Sonderformen und aus Kunststoff" ("Fasteners with special elements and made of plastics") of the Fasteners Standards Committee (FMV). This standard specifies the characteristics of lifting eye nuts made of steel and stainless steel and provides information for their correct use in hoist operations (as part of slings and as a load suspension device). Lifting eye nuts conforming to this standard are suitable for use at temperatures ranging from -20 °C to +200 °C without a reduction in their lifting capacity.
