This document applies to electroplated cup wheels used in optical manufacturing for dressing polishing tools and grinding the surface of brittle, hard materials. They are intended for use on grinding and polishing machines that enable the technically required cutting speeds. The purpose of this document is to standardize dimensions and thus reduce the variety of cup wheels. This document has been prepared by NA 027-01-11 AA "Fertigungsmittel der Optik" ("Production in optical engineering") at DIN Standards Committee Optics and Precision Mechanics (NAFuO).
