Overview
The standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 063-04-03 AA "Desinfektionsapparate" ("Disinfection apparatus") at DIN Standards Committee Medicine (NAMed). It specifies requirements for the materials, the set-up of appliances, the electronic equipment and for the accompanying documents to be provided by the manufacturer. The steam disinfection apparatus are intended to be used primarily in the medical field. Steam disinfection processes serve primarily to disinfect of bed accessories (mattresses, bed linen and textiles) but also waste according to the European Waste Code 180103 according to Waste Catalogue regulation (AVV). The standard is published in two languages (German and English), so the issue is known at European and international level.
