DIN 6353:2010-08

This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 121-02-07-AA "Drehmaschinenspannzeuge und Zubehör" ("Lathe chucks and accessories") of the Tools and Clamping Devices Standards Committee (FWS). It was necessary to revise the edition of this standard after the preparation of the international standard series ISO 702, ISO 3442 and ISO 3089 by Subcommittee SC 8 "Werkzeugmaschinen - Spindelköpfe mit Drehfutter" ("Machine Tools - Work holding spindles and chucks") of Technical Committee ISO/TC 39 "Werkzeugmaschinen" ("Machine tools"), which was then decided by the NA 121-02-07 AA to be adopted as the German standard series DIN ISO 702-1 to DIN ISO 702-4, DIN ISO 3442-1 to DIN ISO 3442-3 and as DIN ISO 3089. Because the specifications for the "V teeth" jaw mounting have been added to the aforementioned ISO standards, this following edition of DIN 6353 still contains only the common mounting dimensions for machine tools for power-operated two and three-jaw lathe chucks with cross tenon type jaw mounting.
