With the adoption of International Standard ISO 3089 into the national body of standards, DIN ISO 3089: 2010-11 replaces a part of DIN 6386-1:1977-05. This resulted in the necessity to revise DIN 6386-1:1977-05. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 121-02-07 AA "Drehmaschinenspannzeuge und Zubehör" ("Turning machine clamping devices and accessories") at the Tools and Clamping Devices Standards Committee (FWS) at DIN.
