This standard is applicable to fusion welding jigs and auxiliary equipment (mechanical wire feed) used in particular for partially and fully mechanical gas-shielded arc welding on components for aerospace equipment. The standard may be used as a guide for other applications and fusion welding processes. Jigs within the meaning of this standard are longitudinal seam welding and rotating devices as well as combinations of these devices and additional equipment with the aid of which partial and fully mechanical gas-shielded arc welding can be carried out. NA 092-00-17 AA "Schweißen im Luft- und Raumfahrzeugbau (DVS AG A 9)" ("Welding in aerospace (DVS AG A 9)") at DIN Standards Committee Welding and allied processes (NAS) at DIN is responsible for this document.
