This standard specifies the characteristics of anchor nuts with MJ thread, deep counterbore, self-locking, floating, two lug, corrosion-resisting steel used together with screws and bolts of 1 100 MPa nominal tensile strength for temperatures up to 315 °C with surface treatment according to code letter D and those for temperatures up to 425 °C with surface treatment according to code letter U for aerospace applications. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 131-03-01 AA "Verbindungselemente (Spiegelausschuss zu ISO/TC 20/SC 4)" ("Aerospace fasteners (Mirror Committee of ISO/TC 20/SC 4)") at DIN.
