This standard specifies the characteristics of sleeves, wall thickness 0,5 mm, for fasteners with countersunk head used together with screws and bolts to replace oversize shank fasteners for aerospace applications. Sleeves to this standard shall be used to reduce bearing and contact pressure on composite materials. This standard has been prepared by the interested experts of the Technical Section Mechanics of the Aerospace Standards Committee (NL) at DIN.
