This standard specifies the characteristics of nuts, hexagon with MJ thread, self-locking, corrosion-resisting steel used together with screws, only subjected to shear loads and bolts of 1 100 MPa nominal tensile strength for temperatures up to 120 °C and not subjected to tensile loads for aerospace applications. This document has been prepared by experts of NA 131-03-01 AA "Verbindungselemente (Spiegelausschuss zu ISO/TC 20/SC 4)" of the Aerospace Standards Committee (NL) at DIN. This standard has been prepared taking into account relevant resolutions (Building Block Documents) and standards of ISO/TC 20/SC 4 (Aircraft and Space Vehicles, Aerospace Fastener Systems).
