This standard specifies the requirements for factory production control of manufacturing plants of factory-made or predominantly factory-made vessels (tanks) with a permissible working pressure of 0,5 bar maximum. This standard does not apply for the manufacture of vessels (tanks) and attachments, for example ladders, platforms, for which a conformity verification procedure is required. This standard has been prepared by Working committee NA 104-01-02 AA "Werksgefertigte Metalltanks" ("Shopfabricted metal tanks") at DIN Standards Committee Tank Installations (NATank).
