This standard applies to double-walled, vertical tanks in accordance with DIN 6623-1, which have an additional, self-contained outer tank made of steel, at least up to the level of the permissible filling level. The effects of earthquakes and flooding are not taken into account in the standard. The responsible standardization committee is Working Committee NA 104-01-02 AA "Werksgefertigte Metalltanks" ("Shop-fabricated metal tanks") at DIN Standards Committee Tank Installations (NATank).
