This document has been prepared by NA 012-00-04 GA "Gemeinschaftsarbeitsausschuss FNCA/NAL: Getränkeschankanlagen" ("Joint Working Committee FNCA/NAL Beverage dispensing systems"), which is formed by DIN Standards Committee Chemical Apparatus Engineering (FNCA) and DIN Standards Committee Food and Agricultural Products (NAL). This standard has been prepared in collaboration with the Technical Section "Beverage Dispensing Systems" at the Food Division of the German Social Accident Insurance Institution for the Foodstuffs and Catering Industry (BGN). DIN 6650-11 supplements and expands on the requirements of DIN 6650-6, especially Chapter 6. This document describes in detail all cleaning procedures for common types of beverage dispensing systems and beverages, while Part 6 provides the framework for cleaning and disinfection requirements. This document specifies the cleaning and disinfection of components of a beverage dispensing system that come into contact with the product. All components that come into contact with beverages and beverage raw materials are considered to be in contact with the product. Basic requirements for the cleaning and disinfection of beverage dispensing systems are specified in DIN 6650-6. This document is primarily intended for cleaners of beverage dispensing systems and training institutes that wish to train and qualify cleaners on the basis of this standard. The qualification of persons is regulated by DGUV Principle 310-010 "Qualification of persons and recognition of training courses for the cleaning and disinfection of beverage dispensing systems". The content requirements for this can be found in this part of the standard.
