Overview
This document specifies test methods by which functional mechanical characteristics of zone mattresses and zoned lying systems are determined. This document does not apply to crib mattresses, waterbeds, water and air mattresses. Annex A (informative) describes an alternative test method for determining the indentation profile (test method with crossmember). Annex B (informative) contains information on the classification of test results. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 042-05-14 AA "Betten und Matratzen, SpA CEN/TC 207/WG 1, ISO/TC 136/WG 4" ("Beds and matresses, Mirror committee CEN/TC 207/WG 1, ISO/TC 136/WG 4") at DIN Standards Committee Timber and Furniture (NHM).
