Overview
This standard applies to painted panels (including cassettes), the middle layer of which is made of wood-based materials and the outer layer of which is made of veneer at least on the visible side of the panel. Panels are used for cladding walls and ceilings. Compared to DIN 68740-2:1999-10, DIN EN 13556 has been taken into account for the designation of wood species, the structure of the standard has been adapted to the current design rules and the bibliographic references have been updated. The responsible committee is Working Committee NA 042-02-15 AA "Holzwerkstoffe - Spiegelausschuss zu CEN/TC 112 und ISO/TC 89" ("Wood-based panels - Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 112 and ISO/TC 89") at DIN Standards Committee Timber and Furniture (NHM).
