Overview
This standard describes the test conditions and test methods as well as repeat periods which are to be considered during consistency testing of a system for intensity-modulated radiation therapy with high energy photon radiation and an isocentric tube arm in order to detect changes of these key characteristics during the entire working life. Intensity-modulated radio therapy techniques where rotational therapies are used (for example, tomotherapy) are not covered by this standard. This standard applies in connection with DIN 6875-3:2008-03 for the intensity-modulated radiation therapy with high energy photon radiation and an isocentric tube arm. The standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 080-00-05 AA "Strahlentherapie" ("Radiotherapy").
