This standard specifies designations for all types of furniture and their use in the movement of goods for display, offer (for example, advertising) and sale. The standard has been completely revised compared to DIN 68871:2001-11. Examples of the term "reproduction" have been included, the terms relating to "furniture leather" have been expanded and the term "stone" has been added. The requirements for the designation of furniture have been summarized. This standard has been prepared by NA 042-05 FBR "Fachbereichsrat Möbel" ("Council of the Technical Section furniture") at DIN Standards Committee Timber and Furniture (NHM).
