DIN 69002-2:2016-06

This standard has been prepared by the Standards Committee Machine Tools (NWM) at Working Committee NA 122-00-08-01 UA "Baueinheiten und Mehrspindelköpfe" ("Constructional units and multi-spindle heads"). DIN 69002-2 specifies dimensions, designations and parts lists as well as other technical data for the construction of short spindles used in single-spindle or multi-spindle machining units as work spindles for the use of cooling lubricant, minimum quantity lubrication or for dry machining. DIN 69002-2 describes and specifies the components and their installation in the spindles. The specifications in this standard enable the manufacture of uniform components of consistent quality, which allow easy interchangeability between different manufacturers, thus enabling cost savings to be made and supply bottlenecks to be circumvented. This standard is to be used in conjunction with DIN 69002-1 and -3. The specifications in the three parts of this series of standards are harmonized with each other.
