This German standard specifies product requirements for hexagon socket screw keys with pilot. In addition to the dimensions and tolerances for various sizes of screw keys with widths across flats between 3 mm and 27 mm, the DIN standard gives information on the material to be used, its hardness and surface protection, where necessary, as well as labelling of these tools. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 121-05-01 AA "Schraubwerkzeuge, Fügewerkzeuge" ("Assembly tools for screws and nuts; joining tools") of the FWS at DIN.
