Overview
This document specifies a conditioning procedure for determining the minimum fractional efficiency. It is intended for use in conjunction with DIN 71460-1 and contains the requirements for the test equipment and the test procedure. This part applies to filter elements used in motor vehicles to reduce particulate and gaseous air pollutants and to the corresponding filter media. In conjunction with Part 1, the test procedure for conditioning automotive cabin filters is specified, which is intended to enable the selection and comparability of filter elements under laboratory conditions. This document was prepared by Working Committee NA 052-00-34 AA "Antriebe, Antriebsstrang und -flüssigkeiten" ("Propulsion, powertrain and powertrain fluids") at DIN Standards Committee Road Vehicles and Mobility (NAAutomobil).
