DIN 736:2011-06

This standard has been prepared by the Rolling Bearings and Plain Bearings Standards Committee, Working Committee NA 118-01-02 AA "Kugellager und Spannlager einschließlich Teile, allgemeines Wälzlagerzubehör und Gehäuse" ("Ball bearings and inside bearings, including parts, general rolling bearings accessories and housings"). This standard specifies dimensions and symbols for plummer block housings for incorporation of rolling bearings of diameter series 2 with tapered bore and adapter sleeve. Housings according to this standard are intended for accommodation of rolling bearings and are mainly used for installation of self-aligning ball bearings and spherical roller bearings. With respect to DIN 736:1984-11, the following modifications have been made: a) standard has been completely revised; b) symbols have been adjusted to ISO 113; c) dimensions for d₁ = 85 (SN 519) have been incorporated; d) nominal dimension for housing width A for d₁ = 25 mm, 30 mm, 80 mm, 110 mm, 125 mm, 135 mm and 140 mm have been updated; e) weights in Table 1 have been deleted; f) design information has been supplemented; g) normative references have been updated.
